Workshop Facilitator: Dr. Roberto Hugh Potter

This workshop focuses on the global impact of human trafficking through the scope of healthcare. Here, participants will learn what human trafficking is, the different ways it can manifest, how it affects victims, and how healthcare providers can offer support. Leading this workshop is Dr. Roberto Hugh Potter, a Sociologist who received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 1982. He works at the intersection of criminal justice, public health, and organizational research. He has been applying the research technologies of social science to move evidence-based practices into the world of justice, family welfare, and public health for nearly 40 years, much of it in his native Florida. Dr. Potter has vast areas of expertise in inter-organizational operations, correctional healthcare, and human trafficking with multiple awards in research.
